What is a business performance assessment?

  • A business performance assessment is a questionnaire that looks at eight different areas of your business and scores each area based on best practices.

    • Finance & Accounting

    • Risk Management & Regulations

    • Marketing & Lead Generation

    • Sales and Sales Management

    • Leadership, Management, & Communication

    • Human Resources

    • Operations

    • Business Strategy & Planning

  •  The questionnaire will take 15 to 20 minutes max, and you will receive an assessment score report and a written assessment review report based on your answers to the questions.

    • All questions are multiple-choice or true-false except a few questions on your industry and size. You can save each page at the end and return to complete it for up to 4 days. The survey tool will provide you with a link so you can resume.

What will the assessment tell me about my business?

  • If your business is not performing as you believe it should, it will help you determine which areas are the cause and offer you some initial guidance on areas of improvement.

  • If you are considering selling a business in a few years, you want to have the highest valuation possible. Poor performance and risk can lower your valuation. The report will provide you with some initial guidance on areas of improvementHaving a few years to make the necessary changes can make the difference in receiving what you want for your business.

  • Suppose you are looking to buy a business. In that case, this assessment is an excellent guide to get the seller to take in the evaluation to provide you with information on where any holes are in the business and help you negotiate a lower price if the business is not as advertised.

What will the reports I receive for my free assessment will tell me?

  •  If your business achieves over 65% in each area, though there may be areas for improvement, your business is performing well. If you score 45% -65% overall, then you should look to address those areas with the lower scores. Anything below 45%, significant work can be done to improve the performance and value of your business.

  • The business performance assessment review will provide a high-level written report based on your answers for any area below 45%.
