WHAT Is our service area?
We provide services across Canada. We do no provide services to businesses that do not currently have a business number or exist as a Canadian business with a Canadian bank account.
For face to face services, our service area is listed on the bottom of our website. We are able to provide all of our services remotely, but there are some face to face services such as facilitation that require us to be onsite at your location.
We are able to provide face to face services outside our onsite service area if required, but will include a fee for travel.
How do You charge for services?
All of our services are provided as a fixed not to exceed price with the exception of hourly services. Before we can provide pricing to you, we must set up a consultation over the phone with you to understand your requirements as with all services they are based on time and effort. Our hourly fees range from $145.00 to $160.00 an hour depending on the engagement.
Once we understand your requirements, we will provide you with a proposal that outlines our terms and conditions as well as our price which is good for 30 days. You will never be charged for anything but the fixed price outlined in the contract even if we exceed the hours expected.
We do not provide pricing without having spoken to you, so we will not provide pricing through email.
what services do you provide for start-ups?
We do offer a few services for start-ups, but only after they have their business in place. These services include feasibility studies or business plans for financing or business coaching. There are government centres that help small businesses in almost every province that provide free or low cost services to help businesses get off the ground. do you provide discounted services for start-ups?
No, we are not a not for profit business.
In most cases the time needed for start-ups is significantly more than businesses that have been operating for 2+ years. This is why we suggest first utilizing the services of the small business centres in your area that are funded by the regions and provincial government before seeking paid services.
Since You have a CPA on Staff do Your Perform Compilations and taxes?
No, our partner that is a CPA is a management accountant who is focused on helping you on a go foward basis with your financials within your business. Though he could, he does not focus on this area and works with your financial accountant. If you do not have a financial accountant, we would be happy to refer you to an accountant we have worked with in the past.
Many times we are asked why a business owner's financial accountant did not provide them business advice or recommend changes to their chart of accounts. Some financial accountants do perform these functions, but is not part of the engagement you have hired them for in most cases. If you are only seeing your accountant on an annual basis when they compile your statements and file your taxes, you cannot expect them to understand enough about your business to make recommendations.
DO YOU PROVIDE ONSITE FREE CONSULTATIONS?
We unfortunately do not provide onsite consultations. If it is important for you to meet us face to face we will do so for our hourly rate charge, which will be credited against your account if you move forward with us.
We provide free 30 minute consultations online where you can speak with one of our partners and also are free to ask for references, many of which are listed on our website.
How Do You Provide Remote services?
We have provided services to clients that we have never met in person that are both located inside and outside our service area.
We utilize online technology such as Zoom to provide coaching and consultations with clients on projects when needed. In most cases, work is always performed within our offices except for when we need to be on your site working with you and your staff. This also keeps the cost of your services down.
What if we want to engage you for services, what is the process?
We will set up an initial consultation with you to understand your requirements. We will then provide you with a proposal which will be good for 30 days for the offerings we discuss with you on the call. Once you determine you want to proceed, you will sign the proposal which also includes the contract, and work will begin once the contract is signed and down payment is received.
Do you offer financing & Terms for services ?
We do for all services that have an outstanding balance of over $2500.00 after the down payment is made. When we provide you a proposal, we will outline the payment in full and monthly payment plan. For monthly payments 1.5% will be charged and we will require a credit card or post-dated cheques.
For services that are charged monthly like coaching, we will require a credit card and you will be charged as outlined in the contract.
We will provide financing only up to 5 months on services that are not pay as you go like coaching.
