If you have not used Klout or are not familiar with the tool , it is a social media platform that tracks all of the interactions that you have on Social Media. When it first was launched, I joined out of curiosity based off friends of mine in the business community sharing the information about Klout scores on LinkedIn. It started out providing a "social media score" for you as an individual, which was based on the interaction on your Social Media platforms that you utilized. Though I will admit I really didn't take the scores of anyone seriously, Klout was a really good platform in order to monitor all of your social media interactions in one place, and it still is.
Over time, Klout had business accounts, so I moved everything over to a business account, since everything I was doing on Social Media was business related in the first place. They added new Social Media platforms and a few new features and I would go on every few weeks and look through it. Today I logged on for the first time in awhile, as the last time was a few weeks ago and uncovered a huge surprise. Klout has a new look and feel and when I logged in, it took me to a page that provided a list of content that you now are able to share directly from the Klout platform to Twitter and Facebook. This is an amazing feature to add, as it is another way you can have access to content to share for your business. The content displayed is based off your preferences, which you manage.
My only complaint at this point, if I am able to have one concerning a "free" product, is that Klout tracks and is hooked to all of your Social Media platforms, but it only allows sharing of content to Twitter and Facebook. I use Bufferapp and Hootsuite, so the way around it is to go directly to the article, and use an alternate platform to share the content.. Klout is offering similar functionality to Bufferapp and Hootsuite, by allowing you to share the content immediately or schedule it for a later date and time.. Hopefully over time, Klout will add other platforms that they already support, such as LinkedIn or Google+.
As more tools are available for sharing content, these tools should provide even the smallest of businesses the ability to utilize Social Media in their business.
